The RGB Encoder Wheel Breakout module with Nuvoton MS51 offers unique control capabilities for Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi Pico- based projects. It is equipped with five buttons (up, down, right, left, center) and an encoder knob . The board also has a ring with 24 addressable RGB LEDs controlled by the IS31FL3731 chip, which will perfectly complement the design. The module uses the I2C interface and supports Python and C++ / MicroPython libraries. It also includes STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors, which will make it easier to expand the project with additional overlays and extensions .

The equipment is okay. Unfortunately, there is no Nuvoton documentation for handling this processor in pure C. You would need reverse engineering to extract from ready-made Python or Arduino libraries. So I guess it will be faster to write something of your own than to mess with it. It's a shame because it seemed simple, because what's the problem with talking over I2C. Well, unfortunately, first you have to configure (program) it over I2C.
