Description

Shield forArduinowith dual driver VNH5019 allows you to control two DC motors with a supply voltage in range of 5.5 V - 24 V with continuous current consumption up to 12 A (temporary up to 30 A). The system allows you to change the motor rotation direction and adjust the rotational speedl through a PWM signal.

The distance between the connectors, compatible withArduinoandavailable library makes the driver convenient and easy to use. The module has the ability to change the default used pins for Arduino (mapping), can also be powered directly from the Arduino board. The system requires to solder the basic components - connectors with a pitch of 2.54 mm. A detailed description can be found inthe user guide.

During soldering the connectors, you should remember that the two connected goldpin connectors (included) are able to pass current with a voltage of up to 6 A, ARK connectors up to 16 A. In the case of working with higher currents, the wires should be soldered directly to the pins of the board.

 

The driver has a place for an additional capacitor to filter the supply voltage. There is usually no need to add this element, however, in the case when the driver will run closely to the upper limit of parameters (24V/12A), we recommend to attach an additional capacity.
