Multimedia development kit based on single coreWiFiSoC ESP32-S2 microcontroller. Enables implementation of projects in the field of home or industrial automation. Apart from the board withESP32-S2 WROVERmodule which is the main element of the package, the followingextensionsare included: audio player, touch panel, 3.2'' inch display, camera and audio player with a speaker.

Easy expansion
The board allows easy connection of the included extensions to add the following features:
- 6-button touch panel
- Audio player, whose volume can be controlled by buttons on the touch panel
- LCD display (8-bit with parallel RGB interface, 8080 and 6800), controlled by a touch panel or 6-buttontact switch
- Camera (compatible with OV2640 and OV3660 camera modules):
- 8-bit DVP image sensor interface (ESP32-S2 also supports 16-bit DVP image sensors, you can design it yourself)
- Clock frequency up to 40 MHz
- Optimized DMA transfer bandwidth for easier transmission of high resolution images
The most important components on the board
In addition to the previously mentioned connectors needed to connect the included extensions, the ESP32-S2-Kaluga-1 v1.3 backplane includes
- Two microUSB connectors
- One for powering the board (optionally the board can be powered with 5V or 3.3V pins. It is also equipped with 2-pin battery connector)
- The second one for communication with PC (UART or JTAG interface)
- Boot button together with Reset button used during firmware update
- 47 GPIO pins
- Voltage converter from 5V to 3.3V
- Bridge allowing communication via USB port using UART / JTAG protocols
- Programmable RGB LED controlled by GPIO45 pin (jumper required)
