Together with your trainer you will go through every step of configuring such a server: you will install Apache, configurePHP, and see how to equip the server with MySQL database system. The knowledge you will gain will allow you to easily place any applications and pages on the server. On the example of a popular system such asWordpressyou will see in practice the whole configuration. An extremely useful stage in this part of the course will be learning how to create virtual hosts, thanks to which you can expand your server by any number of domains.
Mail server
Have you ever wondered how Gmail, Outlook or any other email server works? Now not only will you get to know how they work from behind the scenes, but you can also set up your ownPostfixmail server.What's more, you and your trainer will install SquirrelMail software, which will allow your clients to manage their mail directly from their web browser.
Virtual Private Network
Would you like to know how to give access to your network to any outside user? In this part of the course you will learn about VPNs, which are virtual private networks that allow you to share any server resources with users who are not currently on your network.
CentOS
Additionally, as a bonus you will receive a course in which we will show you how to work with another, equally popular Linux distribution such as CentOS. Starting from the installation, through the configuration of firewall security, you will learn the configuration of services based on the LAMP package (MySQL, MariaDB, Apache2, PHP, sFTP)
