Description
The kit consists of a transmitter and receiver of infrared light. To start the device, you must set in a straight line so that the beam sent by the transmitter was placed in the receiver. After the interruption of the beam by the other object, ther transistor output of an open collector type of the receiver, will be concised to ground. A system of this type can be used, for example, in the measurement gates for robots following the line.
This version is equipped with a diode IR 3 mm, with a beam angle of 10 degrees. The device can be powered with 5V or 3.3 V (for 5 V range will be wider). The receiver has a transistor output of an open collector type. Therefore, in order to obtain a digital signal, you must connect a pulling up resistor, for example, 10 kΩ or enable internal pulling up system built into some microcontrollers, such as AVR in Arduino.
