Course plan

The course was divided into 10 articles. At the beginning the most important information related to the Intel Edison module itself was discussed. One of the episodes was entirely devoted to working with Linux, which is installed on the main character of this course. Of course, the most attention was devoted to connecting Edison to the Internet, sending data to the cloud - in a word, Internet Things for Everyone!

1 Intel Edison is a computing platform based on a powerful dual-core Intel Atom processor, equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth and a 70-pin connector.
2 Arduino Breakout Kit - the set includes Intel Edison platform and Arduino Uno compatible board. Thanks to its use the user can connect Arduino Shield overlays and use digital outputs known from Arduino.
3 The contact plate - 400 holes - is used to create and test electronic circuits without the need for soldering.
4 Resistors 470 Ω - 1/4 W threaded 30 pieces.
5 Resistors 10 kΩ - 1/4 W, 30 pieces.
6 2x16 blue backlit LCD display with I2C bus converter. Thanks to this circuit, two data lines and a 5 V power supply and ground are sufficient to connect the screen.
7 LED 5 mm red - 10 pieces.
8 Module with active buzzer with generator - enables creation of sound signals with constant voltage signal.
9 HDC1008 - Humidity and temperature sensor supplied from 3 V to 5 V with I2C interface. Measuring range: temperature: -20 °C to 85 °C, humidity: 10 %RH to 80 %RH.
10 Set of 65 connection cables for contact plates of different lengths in various colours.
11 Female to male connection cables 20 cm - 40 pcs. of multicoloured connection cables finished on one side with a female connector, on the other side with a male connector.
12 Door/window magnetic sensor - contact CMD918, the device is mainly used to determine the position of doors and windows. Dimensions of the housing are 9.5 x 18 mm.
13 Photoresistor 5-10 kΩ GL5616 - simple light intensity sensor.
14 12V / 2.1A impulse power supply.
15 Numeric keypad - for data input.
16 Two microUSB cables to connect the board to the computer.
17 The PIR sensor allows motion detection. It is used to detect objects in rooms in alarm and lighting systems.
