The principle of operation of the sensor

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are a group of chemical compounds with various chemical structures and properties. During the measurement, the measured values are processed using an algorithm and presented with the VOC index, which represents the air quality value on a scale from 0 to 500. The lower the VOC index value, the cleaner the air.

Precautions during use

  • Before using the sensor, remove the protective film from it.
  • Avoid using the sensor in an environment where it will be exposed to high concentrations of corrosive gases (such as H2S, SOX, Cl2, HCl, among others).
  • Protect the sensor from contamination with alkalis, alkali metal salts and halogens.
  • Avoid long-term exposure of the tile to unfavorable environmental conditions (such as high temperatures, high humidity, high pollution).
  • Do not expose the module to water.
  • Do not expose the module to vibrations, impacts or falls from height.
  • Do not test the module on systems that involve personal security concerns.
