Kanthal is a brand founded on the pillars of AB Kanthal. It was founded in 1931 and was the brainchild of Hans von Kantzow from Sweden, who wanted to introduce the iron-chromium-aluminium (FeCrAl) resistance alloy Kanthal. The company enjoyed global success right from the start and today boasts 90 years of experience. Kanthal products are characterized by consistently high quality, so the brand can count on constant interest and trust of customers. In the offer of Botland store you can find, above all, bobbins with resistance wire of different resistances and thicknesses, depending on the model.

Kanthal - a modern company with a long tradition

The main reason Kanthal was founded was to introduce an alloy called cantalum (iron with chromium and a small addition of aluminium, nowadays also cobalt). It was invented by accident. After three years, the discovery resulted in a completely new resistance material based on a forgotten alloy found in a furnace. In 1931, it was introduced to the market and achieved great success on the worldwide market due to its excellent performance (it had much better results compared to the nickel-chromium alloy used earlier).

High quality above all

Kanthal boasts very good customer feedback and excellent sales performance worldwide. The company has also been awarded for its responsible approach to the topic of ecology - among other things, it has been officially awarded the ISO 14001: 2015 certificate. Such a distinction proves that Kanthal's management systems are designed to effectively reduce the negative impact of its activities and manufactured goods on the environment. The company offers its customers only the highest quality products and encourages them to buy exactly the amount of wire they need.

What do we offer at Botland?

At Botland, you will find a wide selection of Kanthal resistance wires of various thicknesses and resistances. The wire is sold on special plastic spools so you can easily portion it out as you work. Two lengths are available - the white spools contain 9.1 meters of wire length, while the black spools have as much as 30 meters of wire wound on them. Resistance is marked in relation to the length of a meter of wire (the longer the wire, the higher resistance, and the shorter, the lower). The offered wires are made of alloys, chromium and copper or iron, chromium and aluminum - they have temperature resistance up to 1400°C or even 1500°C. They are perfect as elements of e-cigarettes and electric heaters or structural parts of cutting devices.
