The Lark Weather Station by DFRobot is a compact weather monitoring device that measures wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, and air pressure . It allows real-time data logging via UART and I2C interfaces, and the results are given in physical units, which makes them easy to interpret. The station is compatible with Arduino , Raspberry Pi , ESP32 , and UNIHIKER controllers. It has 16 MB of built-in memory , which allows for 160 days of data storage at minute recording, with the possibility of export via USB Type-C. The device is portable, waterproof , and durable, with a 1/4'' thread for mounting on a tripod , and its size and removable weather vane make it easy to transport and store.

The manufacturer has prepared a user guide that will make it much easier to start working with the device.

How to use the Lark weather station?

  • Viewing data in real time: p connect the SCI DAQ module to the Lark station, which will automatically recognize it and display the data on the screen. This allows real-time monitoring of weather conditions in the form of a portable instrument.
  • Independent data collection: p Connect the station to a 5V power source or adapter. Lark will automatically begin collecting data at 30-second intervals. Once collection is complete, connect the station to a computer to export the data in CSV format for easy analysis and visualization of results.
  • Integration with controllers: connect the Lark station to Arduino or other controllers to program and customize data collection. You can also use WiFi-enabled controllers, such as UNIHIKER , to create an online weather station, allowing remote access to data.
