The SenseCAP S700-B is an advanced, compact weather station designed for professional environmental monitoring. Thanks to RS485 (Modbus-RTU) and SDI-12 interfaces, it easily integrates with IoT systems and SenseCAP LoRaWAN and 4G data loggers. The SenseCAP S700-B accurately measures seven key atmospheric parameters using advanced sensor technologies. Air temperature is measured from -40°C to 85°C with a resolution of 0.01°C and an accuracy of ±0.1°C, while relative humidity covers the range of 0% RH to 100% RH with an accuracy of ±1.5% RH. The atmospheric pressure sensor operates in the range of 300 hPa to 1250 hPa with an accuracy of ±50 Pa. Precipitation is measured optically in the range of 0 mm/h to 200 mm/h with a resolution of 0.2 mm/h and an accuracy of ±10%, ensuring reliability without mechanical components. Wind speed is measured ultrasonically in the range of 0 m/s to 60 m/s (up to 75 m/s extended, resistance up to 80 m/s) with an accuracy of ±0.3 m/s (≤10 m/s), while the wind direction covers full 360° with a resolution of 0.1° and an accuracy of ±3°. The built-in pyranometer allows the measurement of global solar radiation in the range of 0 W/m² to 2000 W/m² (spectrum 300 nm to 1100 nm) with an accuracy of ±3% and a response time of ≤1 s. Additionally, the sensor determines the sunlight duration in the range from 0 h to 6553.5 h with a resolution of 0.1 h, which allows for precise analysis of solar conditions in energy and environmental applications.
The robust housing with UV protection and IP66 protection class guarantee reliability in a temperature range from -40°C to 85°C.
The station supports industry standards, offering communication via RS485 and SDI-12, allowing for easy integration with existing research infrastructure.
Connectivity and integration with IoT systems
The weather station is equipped with an M12 connector and RS485 (Modbus-RTU), SDI-12, and ASCII communication interfaces, facilitating integration with professional measurement systems. The SenseCAP S700-B can interface with PLCs, host computers, data loggers, and IoT platforms. Standard protocols allow for easy data transfer to analytical and visualization systems. The sensor can be used with the SenseCAP LoRaWAN Data Logger or SenseCAP 4G Data Logger , enabling remote data collection from the field. Configuration is performed via a USB Type-C port using the SenseCAP ONE Configuration Tool, which allows for settings such as the communication protocol, Modbus address, and reading interval.
