SenseCAP S500 V2 5in1 from Seeedstudio is a compact sensor for building a weather station that allows you to determine environmental conditions such as air temperature , relative humidity , barometric pressure , wind speed and direction (determined by the ultrasonic method). Thanks to its special design, it can be used in industrial applications - the module has an IP66 protection level. It is waterproof and dustproof, and can also operate in environments with temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85° C, making it an ideal solution for projects carried out in difficult conditions.

Application of SenseCAP S500 V2.
Special features of the sensor
- Measurement of up to 5 parameters : one module allows you to measure values such as air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction.
- Application at industrial level: operating temperature range from -40°C to 85° C, IP66 protection level ensuring waterproof and dustproof, enable the sensor to be used in outdoor applications in sectors such as smart agriculture, smart city, renewable energy or broadly understood transport.
- Output interface : RS485 (MODBUS-RTU) / SDI-12 communication protocol allows cooperation with any data recorder supporting this protocol.
- Advanced components included in the set : 3 m cable intended for pole mounting; radiation shields for accurate measurement of surroundings; built-in ultrasonic sensors in the dome to measure wind speed and direction (without moving parts that could affect the precision of measurements).
SenseCAP S500 V2 5in1 can also be used with SenseCAP Sensor Hub 4G Data Logger and SenseCAP S2100, which can be used as data loggers.
Modern technologies
Sensors for measuring wind speed and direction use innovative technology based on ultrasound (instead of a traditional mechanical anemometer). Reducing the number of moving parts makes the sensor less susceptible to breakage, making it easier to maintain. This will increase its resistance and measurement precision.
