Description
The module allows you to increase the number of GPIOs (up to 8 more) of a microcontroller (e.g. Arduino module). Communicates on the I2C bus (TWI). Through the use of jumpers, the user has the ability to change the bus address, allowing at the same time to reduce up to 8 modules to one bus, increasing the number of GPIOs to 64.
Pins A0 - A2 of the module are displayed on the jumper, so the user has the ability to change the I2C bus address from 0x20 to 0x27 in hexadecimal form.
Due to the use of the pull-up resistors with a low value of 1 kω, you can experience problems when connecting multiple devices on the I2C bus. These resistors can be replaced by a higher value, such as 4.7 kω.
