Product description: X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 - NFC Tag - extension for STM32 Nucleo
X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 NFC tag reader in the form of an overlay for STM32 Nucleo modules. The board was based on the ST25R3916B system and configured to support ISO14443A/B, ISO15693, FeilCa and AP2P communication. The ST25R3916B manages frame encoding and read mode decoding for standard applications such as NFC and HF RFID proximity standards. Supports ISO/IEC 14443 type A and B, ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO/IEC 19092 communication protocols such as detection, reading and writing of NFC forum type 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 tags. There is a capacitance sensor on the board with ultra-low power consumption when waking up without turning on the reader field and waking up traditional induction to select amplitude or phase measurement. Automatic Antenna Tuning (AAT) technology allows you to work close to metal parts and/or in a changing environment.
What is NFC?
NFC (Near-Field Communication) is a standard for short-range, high-frequency radio communication. It allows for wireless data exchange over a short distance, up to 20 centimeters.
This technology is a simple extension of ISO/IEC 14443 combining card interface and reader in one device. These devices communicate with existing ISO / IEC 14443 devices (cards and readers) and other NFC devices, thus being compatible with existing and already in use public transport and payment infrastructure, such as MIFARE. NFC is mainly targeted at mobile phones.
