The pins of the module

The button module has two Qwiic connectors on the board. We also find pads with the following leads:

  • 3.3v : module power supply
  • GND : system ground
  • SDA : data line of the I2C communication interface
  • SCL : clock line of the I2C communication interface
  • INT : interrupt pin. By default pulled up to a voltage of 3.3 V through a 10 kΩ resistor with a jumper

A detailed description of the pins and the configuration of address jumpers is available in the user manual .

Qwiic system - what is it?

Qwiic Connect by SparkFun is an ecosystem of sensors based on the serial I2C communication bus, actuators and cables with dedicated plugs. This solution simplifies prototyping of even complex systems. All boards supporting Qwiic use the same, 4-pin JST connector with a spacing of 1 mm. This reduces the amount of space required on the PCB. It also protects against incorrect connection.
