A set of 5 pieces of miniature LED modules is the perfect solution for creating creative, light accents on clothes or everyday objects. Starting a single diode requires only connecting a power supply from 3.3 V to 6 V to the "+" pin and ground to the "-" pin. The modules can also be powered by a Li-Pol cell or a CR2032 coin cell battery. For more advanced effects, such as flickering or smooth light fading, the modules can be connected to microcontrollers, e.g. Adafruit Gemma or Flora . With a 3.3V supply, each diode consumes approximately 5mA, which allows up to 4 or 5 diodes to be connected in parallel to a single pin of the microcontroller. The modules are available on a strip from which they can be easily separated as needed.
