Product description: RGB LED Ring 7 x WS2812 5050 - soldered connectors
Module in a form of ring consisting of7 individually addressable RGB LEDsbased on popularWS2812chip in 5050 standard. The board is equipped with two mounting holes. To operate the module it is enough to use only one microcontroller pin, e.g.ArduinoorRaspberry Pimodule. Outside diameter of the circle is23 mm. The module is equipped withgoldpinconnectors enabling connection to the microcontroller using connection wires. The ring is powered by5 V.Each diode consumes up to18 mAof current, which in this case gives a total value of about 130 mA. The communication protocol used allows the diodes to be connected in series. The next chain should be connected to the output connector, connecting respectively 5V, GND and DOUT with DIN. The manufacturer notes that when using more than 500 diodes, there may not be enough RAM in theArduino Unochip.
Connecting the RGB LED ring
The module is equipped with four pins. For proper operation it is enough to use one microcontroller pin. The device allows for serial connection of more modules.
- GND- ground of the module
- 5 V- supply voltage, 18 mA current per one diode
- Data IN- digital control signal from the microcontroller
- Data OUT- output for connecting another ring
Product compatible withArduino
