Product description: Adafruit ATtiny817 seesaw - STEMMA QT / Qwiic - Arduino compatible - Adafruit 5233
A board based on the ATtiny817 chip clocked at 20 MHz with 8 kB of flash memory and 512 B of RAM. It's also a seesaw Adafruit module, i.e. I2C converter, which allows to extend another module with microcontroller or minicomputer with additional interfaces via I2C line. There are also two Qwiic / STEMMA QT connectors on the board for easy connection to a board with the same I2C interface connector.
Adafruit seesaw
Adafruit seesaw Peripherial code was uploaded to the board with ATtiny817 microcontroller, which makes it an I2C to any interface converter. You can extend your microcontroller module or minicomputer with additional interfaces by connecting this board to I2C connector. The software can be freely changed and other interfaces can be uploaded. Examples of interfaces using the seesaw software are:
- 14 x GPIO
- 9 x 10-bit ADC inputs - pins 0, 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 18, 19, 20
- 5 x 8-bit PWM outputs - pins 0, 1, 9, 12, 13
- 1 x NeoPixel output (up to 60 pixels)
- 1 x EEPROM with 127 bytes of NVM memory (to store small access tokens or MAC addresses) - last byte of EEPROM is used for I2C address selection
- 1 x interrupt output which can be activated by any accessory - pin 15
- 2 x I2C address selector pins - pins 16 and 17
- 1 x Activity LED on pin 5
