Special features of the Arduino IoT Weather Station
- The heart of the station is SparkFun MicroMod - ESP32, equipped with a dual-core Tensilica LX6 microprocessor, as well as built-in BME280 temperature, pressure and humidity sensors and an AS3935 lightning detector.
- Parameters can be seamlessly recorded and monitored using Arduino Cloud and IoT platforms.
- It has a slot for inserting a microSD memory card, which allows you to record all collected weather data.
- The set also includes a self-emptying rain gauge in the form of a bucket that collects water from rainfall. A precisely determined amount of collected rainfall, i.e. 0.2794 mm, activates the switch, which closes the circuit.
- It also has an anemometer, i.e. a wind speed meter, which uses the closing of an electric circuit by a magnetic switch for measurements. Every 2.4 km/h of wind speed generates 1 pulse per second (1 Hz).
- The operation of the weather station is based on a system of magnetic sensors.
