Product description: BBC micro:bit Grove Inventor Kit EN - inventor's kit (designs) + FORBOT course
The BBCmicro:bitcomputer is an increasingly popular platform for learning electronics and programming forchildren and young people. However, to take advantage of the full potential of this chip, additional electronics must be connected to it. This is where the set of Grove modules comes in handy, allowing you toinstantly add new elements to the chip: fromsimple light-emitting diodes, through buttons, to such advanced elements as the gesture sensor.
BBC Grove Inventor Kit - inventor's set, PL version.
The Polish brochure included in the kit discusses 12exemplary designs thatallow you to get to know the individual modules of the Grove series in practice. While performing the exercises, you can create, among others, an electronic measure, intelligent RGB lighting or a simple alarm. This product is a Polish edition of a worldwide popular set from SeeedStudio.
Attention! The setdoes not containthe necessary BBC micro:bit exercises, This layout can be added to the set by selecting the appropriate option |
The main element of the set is a universal shield,i.e. a moduleextending the capabilities of the BBC micro:bit (nomicro:bit in the set, you can add it in the accessories section). The use of this additional board makes using the connectors available on the BBC micro:bit extremely easy.
Grove overlay for the BBC micro:bit.
The Grove Inventor Kit PL includes 8 universal modules that connect to micro:bit using the supplied dedicated cables. This way of connecting elements makeselectronicconnections possible forliterally anyone.
Each of the modules has been prepared as a separate board with the necessary electronic elements. The set includes, among others, a display module, speaker, distance sensor and gesture sensor. Using the modules does not require soldering, and all elements can be used repeatedly to build different projects.
The Polish edition of the set was created thanks to thecooperation of SeeedStudio with FORBOT.pl - aservice known for publishing numerous educational materials (including courses in electronicsand programming). The set is also a hardware platform used in themicro:bitcoursefrom FORBOT. Additionalmaterials are discussed in the micro:bit platform, development environment and Grove modules included in the set. The next parts of the course from FORBOT are a wider discussion of the projects from the brochure included in the set. There are also completely new exercises and examples.

1. |
Shield Grove for micro:bit V2-ShieldGroveenables easy connection of 4 modules from the Grove series to a micro:bit board. This allows for seamless communication between all components of the devices under construction. |

Grove rotation sensor (P)-there is a 10 kΩ potentiometeron the module. Changing the position of the knob (0-300°) causes a linear change of the output signal. The module can be used, for example, to control volume, speed or any other value. |

3. |
Grove loudspeaker-the loudspeakercan make various sounds, e.g. horn, doorbell or alarm. In addition, other non-standard sounds are also possible. The volume change function is carried out by a potentiometer on the module. |

4. |
Grove ultrasonic rangefinder-thissensorsends out ultrasounds. Based on whether and when the signal returns to the sensor, you can measure the distance between the sensor and an obstacle |

5. |
Grove light sensor- this moduleallows to measure the light intensity. The sensor function uses a phototransistor. Depending on how much light is detected, it is possible to control various system parameters (e.g. volume of sounds or speed of diodes blinking). |

6. |
Waterproof RGB diode tape WS2812 Grove- this is a tape of digitally controlled RGB diodes, i.e. the ones that can shine in different colors. The tape is waterproof, so you can use it for example outside. |

7. |
Grove gesture sensor -the sensor is able to recognize 9 different gestures: up/down/left/right, backward/forward, left/right rotation and swiping. This module can be used to build many interesting devices such as a gesture-controlled sound player. |

8. | MicroUSB Cable -used to connect the BBC mmicro:bit minicomputer to a computer with a USB connector. | 1 | |
9. |
4x 7-segment display module- this module is designed to display 4 digits. It can be used to represent values such as time or distance. |

10. |
Red LED- this is anordinary light emitting diode (LED). Its maximum brightness can be adjusted by means of a built-in potentiometer. |

11. |
Crocodile cables- allow simple connection of modules to micro:bit board pads. |
