Description
The sensor allows you to determine the moisture level of the soil. It is supplied with the voltage from 3.3 V to 5 V. The output has analog voltage, which increases its value with increasing moisture. The module has mounting holes for screws 2 mm and a soldered connector for connect to a microcomputer. The sensor is compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone Forward, LinkIt ONE and most other microcomputers/controllers.

Sensor maintenance
The sensor has an analog output that should be connected to the output of the converter A/C (analog input in Arduino). This will allow the measurement into a proportional voltage signal to determine the humidity level. For dry soil, the reading will fluctuate between 0 and 300, for wet soil from 300 to 700, and immersion of the sensor in water from 700 to 950. The manufacturer provides on its website simple instructions for connecting to Arduino, Raspberry Pi and TI LaunchPad together with the codes sources.
