Product description: Pololu Zumo - chassis - set of mechanical parts
Set of elements for building a chassis for the fightingrobot. It is compatible with the rules of the minisumo competition. The kit includes: tracks, battery container and mounting plate. To build a complete robot there are also required:main board with Arduino controller, apair of motorsmicro series, plow, and fourbatteriesAA.
Dimensions of chassis
The Zumo robot has been designed in such a way that the dimensions of the assembled structure cen be placed in a 10 x 10 cmsquare, which is consistent with the international rules of fighting robots.
Required elements
This product includes only elements for building a chassis with track chassis system. In our offer there is also a kit that contains a plow and hi mail kit Zumo. Below you can find a list of items needed to build a complete robot.
Pololu provides a whole series ofmicro-motors with gearboxes. They differ in capacity and volume reflection. The most popular among designers of fightingrobots are versions of the HighPower with gear30:1and50:1.

Four AA batteries
To power the robot, four batteriesAA are required. We recommend you to useNiMH batteries because they have the possibility of multiple charging.
The controller allows you to build fighting minisumorobot based on the popular ArduinoUnomodule orLeonardo. The board can be mounted on a special chassis, connecting the battery and motorsfrom Pololu micro series.
Arduino module
The kit works with both UnoandLeonardo versions. Compatible also with older models with the same distribution of outputs, for example, Arduino Duemilanove.

In addition to the above listed items necessary for the operation, the user can select additional components, such as:
Reflective sensors strip
Allows you to define the white line located on the edge of the ring. Thanks to the dedicated software, the robot can stop itself from falling outside the designated area.
Charger NiMH
Allows you to recharge and reuse the NiMH batteries.
The optical elements to determine where the enemy is. Most often useddigital sensors with a range of 40cm. Their advantages are small size and speed of measurement.
