Product description: MCP4725 Breakout Board - DAC - 12-bit - I2C - STEMMA QT / Qwiic - Adafruit 935
The Adafruit module is equipped with a 12-bit digital-to-analog converter MCP4725 . Its task is to convert a digital signal from any microcontroller equipped with an I2C communication interface, eg Arduino , into an analog signal . The module is supplied with the voltage of 3.3 V / 5 V. It also has an EEPROM memory. DAC converters are used, among others, to generate sound, operate musical instruments.
The product is compatible with Arduino
A user guide is available on the manufacturer's website that will help you start working with the converter - check it out!
Scheme of connection of a digital-to-analog converter DAC with a Metro board - the board sold separately.
Description of the pins of the board
The board has two connection options - using standard solder pads to which the goldpin strips included in the kit should be soldered, or using STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors, which do not require soldering.
- VIN - supply voltage from 2.7 V to 5.5 V
- GND - the ground of the system
- SDA - data line of the I2C bus
- SCL - clock line of the I2C bus
- VOUT - analog output.
