Air Quality Combo manufactured by SparkFun is a multifunctional sensor designed to measure indoor air quality. The product combines two sensors SCD41 and SEN55 , thanks to which it is possible to measure CO2, volatile organic compounds (VOC), particulate matter (PM1 / PM2.5 / PM4 / PM10), temperature and relative humidity. It uses the I2C bus to communicate with the connected microcontroller, and the physical connection is made via loop-through connectors or Qwiic connectors. Air Quality Combo is powered by 3.3 V and has a red LED indicating power.

Air Quality Combo manufactured by SparkFun is a multifunctional sensor designed to measure indoor air quality. The product combines two sensors SCD41 and SEN55 , thanks to which it is possible to measure CO2, volatile organic compounds (VOC), particulate matter (PM1 / PM2.5 / PM4 / PM10), temperature and relative humidity. It uses the I2C bus to communicate with the connected microcontroller, and the physical connection is made via pass-through connectors or Qwiic connectors. Air Quality Combo uses the built-in buck/boost circuit to amplify the 3.3 V voltage from the Qwiic connector or the 3.3 V PTH pin to 5 V.

SEN55 sensor.

SCD41 sensor

It uses the NDIR PASens photoacoustic measurement system from Sensirion. It also allows for measuring ambient pressure. It is powered by a voltage from 2.4 V to 5.5 V. The SCD41 has a built-in automatic self-calibration system to maintain continuous measurement accuracy.

SEN55 sensor

It is used to monitor air quality. It is powered by a voltage of 4.5 V to 5.5 V (5 V recommended). SEN55 allows you to measure particulate matter in the following sizes: PM1, PM2.5, PM4 and PM10 in concentrations from 0 to 1000 µg/m 3 . It also detects VOC and NO x indicators in the range of 1 to 500 index points.

Main features of the sensor

The SCD41 sensor should be fully calibrated by taking continuous measurements for one hour per day for seven days to obtain optimal results.
