The RPLidar A3M1 is the next generation ofSlamtec's2D360°laser scanners. It can scan up to16,000 samples per secondwithin a range of 25 m. The typical scanning frequency is15 Hzwith an adjustablerange from 10 Hz to 20 Hz. The scanner can work both indoors and outdoors. It uses a serialUARTinterface for communication.

The sampling rate determines the speed and accuracy of map creation. The RPLidar A3M1 has been enhanced with an internal optical design and algorithmic system to increase the frequency up to 16000times per second.

For indoor and outdoor use
The RPLidar A3M1 supports two modes:enhancedandexternal. In the enhanced mode, the laser operates at maximum range and maximum sampling rate for best mapping performance in an indoor environment. In external mode, the RPLidar operates with greater resistance to daylight interference. It maintains stable performance when detecting white and black objects.
