National Semiconductor was established in 1959 in Connecticut, USA. In the first years of its activity it produced semiconductor components for military purposes, but as the company grew, its offer began to be directed to an increasingly wider range of customers - including companies operating in the electronics industry and private individuals. The product range was also expanded to include consumer electronics such as calculators and electronic watches. Since 2011 the National Semiconductor brand is part of Texas Instruments.

The model is equipped with a standard housing for through-hole mounting (THT), so it can be used repeatedly, for example during prototyping or working with a contact board.
