Commutator motor MT78 - principle of operation
Electricmotor MT78 is a miniature DC commutator machine. In this motor, the voltage from the power source is applied to the commutator parcels connected to the rotor windings. As a result of current flowing through the rotor windings, a magnetic field is generated which interacts with the stator magnetic field created by the permanent magnets without windings. The commutator is the element responsible for changing the polarity of the voltage, which causes the rotor to spin consistently in the same direction.
