WTA fuses
These are small fuses. Their mechanism of operation is that when the flowing current is too high, the fuse will melt. The fuses are designed so that, as a consequence, a melted fuse quickly breaks the continuity of the electrical circuit.
WTA fuses are most often used in electronic equipment. In a very simple way, they protect the electronic system against a sudden increase in voltage. Depending on the design, they can protect the entire master system or individual subsystems. This is an effective but one-time short-circuit protection. After closing the system, the fuse should simply be removed and replaced with a new one.
