Description
The sensor is used to measure accelerations in three axes. The module is equipped withFreescale'sMMA7341L 3-axis accelerometer and an integrated voltage regulator, which allows to supply the module with any voltage from 2.2 V to 5.5 V.The output data is sent to the central unit in analogue form. The outputs are common goldpin connectors, allowing the sensor to be connected via wires or directly connectedto acontactboard.
Before connection, please readthe documentation .module documentation. |
Dimensions
The outline of the system shall be contained in a rectangle of dimensions: 23 x 13 mm, the thickness of the whole shall not exceed 2,5 mm. Two holes with an internal diameter of 2,2 mm are used for assembly.
Guidance notes
The power supply from 2.2V to 16V is connected to the VIN pin.
Pins X, Y, Zare analogue outputs of the respective accelerometer axes. The outputs are centred at half the voltage of the 3V3 pin. Positive acceleration causes an increase and negative voltage drop.
The g-Select sensitivity selection pinisinternally pulledto ground, which setsthe default range at:
- +/-1.5G (800mv/G) for MMA7361L
- +/-3G (440 mV/G) for MMA7341L.
The high state changes the range to:
- +/-6G (206 mV/G) for MMA7361L.
- +/-11g (118 mV/G) for MMA7341L.
Pin 0g-Detectis in high state when all three axes detect 0G.
The SelfTest pinis internally pulled upto ground.Itsconnection is not required for proper module operation. See documentation for details.
The module can also be supplied directly with voltage from 2.2V to 3.6V fed to the 3V3 pin.
Attention! SelfTest and g-Select pins do not work with 5V! |
