Product description: SparkFun Qwiic Shield for Teensy - extended - DEV-17119
Overlay manufactured bySparkFunforTeensyseries modules such as Teensy 4.1, Teensy 3.6 ora Teensy 3.5. The board extends the Teensy module with an additionalfourQwiicconnectors for connecting modules / sensors using the same connector. There are two straight connectors and two straight and two Qwiic angle connectors on the overlay. Modules communicating via the I2C interface can be connected to the Qwiic connector. Qwiic ecosystem makes it much easier to connect sensors / modules to main module with the same connector, no soldering required and gives assurance of correct connection. There is also a PROG button on the board, which serves the same function as the PROG button on the Teensy board. Included with the Qwiic overlay is a set of pins that you need to solder to the board yourself.
Main features of Qwiic Shield Extended for Teensy
- Compatible with Teensy 4.1 and Teensy 3.6 or Teensy 3.5
- 4 Qwiic connectors (two straight and two angled)
- PROG button - performs the same function as on the Teensy board
- I2C jumper
- 3.3 V line and GND
Qwiic connectors on the board
There are four Qwiic connectors on the Qwiic Shield Extended overlay. Two straight connectors are located at the ends of the board, while two angled ones are located in the middle of the board.
for Teensy 3.1, Teensy 4.0 and Teensy LC modules.
SparkFun Teensy module is a small board equipped with 32-bit microcontroller withARM Cortex M4core clocked at 120 MHz, 512 kB of Flash memory and 192 kB of RAM. Teensy3.5has 62 input/output pins of which 20 PWM channels and 25 analog inputs, a DMA controller and popular communication interfaces: SPI, I2C, I2S, CAN. The Teensy pins operate at 3.3V.
