Description
The module converts signals transmitted on the serial UART interface (RX, TX) in the range of the RS485 Protocol that allows you to connect up to 32 devices on one line up to 1 km with a maximum speed up to 10 MB/sec. System SP485 works in a half-duplexmode, consumes little power and works with voltages 3.3 V and 5 V.
The kit includes a module with extender SP3485, and is also necessary for the correct functioning of the passive components. The board has holes for soldering connectors:RJ45, screw ARK raster 3.5 mm, and2.54 mm goldpin strap. Connectors not included, please purchase separately.
Connection
The outputs are appropriately marked on the Bbard (the UART interface on the back). Contacts RS-485 can be marked like in the documentation of the converter SP485:
Pin | Pin SP485 | Description |
---|---|---|
3-5V | VCC | Supply voltage range from 3 V to 5 V. |
RX AND | DI | UART receiver. |
TX-0 | Ro | UART transmitter. |
RTS | RE/DE | UART interface - transfer request. |
GND | GND | The ground of the system. |
B | B | Output/ input RS-485 reversible. |
And | And | Output/ input RS-485 irreversible. |
G | GND | The ground of the system. |
