Description
The SparkFun module is compatible with Arduino Uno. It has 30 GPIO pins, analog-to-digital converter and digital-to-analog converter, and popular communication interfaces. SAMD21 works with a voltage of 3.3 V. For this purpose, it was equipped with a voltage regulator, with a performance of 600 mA.
On board is theAtmel ATSAMD21G18microcontroller, 32-bit Cortex M0+ MCU with 256 KB of Flash memory, 32 KB of SRAM and the speed up to 48 MHz. The leads on the board are compatible with Arduino Pro Mini. The module is supported by the Arduino IDE and libraries for Arduino Zero.
In order to start SAMD21, it is necessary to connect the system to computer using microUSB cable. Then, in the Arduino IDE, choose the Arduino Zero board. |
What differentiates the board from other modules compatible with Arduino, is the SERCOM system - it is 6 configurable serial interfaces that can be independently configured as UART, I2C master, I2C slave, SPI master or SPI slave.
SAMD21 was equipped with a power connector of a lipol battery of 3.7 V. Thanks to this, after connecting rechargeable battery of 3.7 V, it can work in places with difficult power access.
