SMD resistors - basic elements of modern electronic devices
Electronic devices manufactured nowadays are characterized by incomparably greater capabilities in comparison with their older design. Such devices include mobile phones, televisions as well as automotive electronics. The progress in electronics is associated with the miniaturization of components and their first parts, which also include SMD resistors, which are much smaller in size compared to their counterparts designed for THT assembly.
How to solder SMD resistors?
In comparison to THT resistors, soldering SMD resistors requires a bit more precision and concentration. To solder a 1.5Ω SMD resistor, we need to tin one of the pads and lubricate the PCB with flux. Next, position the resistor so that its leads are in line with the pads, and solder the element to the tinned pad. Then solder the second lead of the resistor to the second pad, and you are done!
