The right drill for the job
Not every drill is suitable for every application. There are four key considerations - the power of the motor, the available number of gears or variable speed range, as well as the diameter and type of drill chuck and the presence of a hammer drill function. By far the most versatile are cordless drills. Not only do they give you great freedom of manipulation (without the need to bring mains power to the work site), but they also offer a wide range of speed regulation, which allows both drilling in different materials and driving (or removing) screws or bolts even at a really high torque. The presence of an impact function is essential for heavier work in concrete and other types of walls (e.g. brick). High power outputs of 1 kW and more are only possible with corded drills, but they allow drilling holes with large diameters in metal, concrete and brick.
Mini drilling machines - precision combined with versatility
A special group of these power tools are mini drilling machines - their power is relatively low, but the offered speed range allows to work with even the thinnest drills or milling cutters. If you need to drill holes in printed circuit boards or perform precise processing (polishing, grinding or cutting) of small parts made of plastic, wood or non-ferrous metals, the presence of a mini drilling machine in the workshop is absolutely necessary. Our mini drilling machines are sold with a wide range of accessories (working bits) and some models also have a flexible shaft which allows comfortable work without holding the whole tool in your hand. This solution is particularly valuable due to much slower hand fatigue during work, which directly translates into precision manipulation.
