The serial bus servo adapter board from Waveshare integrates the servo power supply and control circuit, ensuring stable and efficient operation of serial bus servos. With support for a wide input voltage range of 9 V to 12.6 V (it can also be powered with a voltage of 5 V to 8.4 V) and compact dimensions, the board can be easily integrated into space-constrained projects. It enables simultaneous control of up to 253 ST and SC servos, provided that an appropriate power supply is used for all connected servos. Servos compatible with Bus Servo Adapter (A)
Compatible servos include ST and SC series models; however, simultaneous use of servos from both series is not recommended. The following ST series models are supported: ST3215-HS, ST3215, ST3025 and ST3020. For the SC series, the available models are SC09 and SC15. When using different models within the same series, it is important to ensure that the power supply provides sufficient output power to meet the requirements of all connected servos simultaneously.
Serial bus servo rotation control
The board supports control via UART and USB. Depending on the device being used, the control mode can be selected using the jumper.
- UART control: enables direct control of serial bus servos via UART and supports hardware platforms such as Raspberry Pi Zero, ESP32, Arduino and STM32
- USB control: enables convenient control of serial bus servos and reception of feedback data via USB-equipped host devices such as a PC, Raspberry Pi 4B or Jetson Orin Nano
