The Joy-IT MotoPi RB-Moto3 is an advanced servo controller designed for Raspberry Pi single-board computers . The board allows simultaneous operation of up to 16 5V servos using precise PWM signals generated by a dedicated crystal oscillator. This ensures smooth servo movement and significantly more accurate positioning. The module also features an analog-to-digital converter , allowing connection of analog components such as joysticks or potentiometers. A built-in capacitor stabilizes the voltage during sudden load changes and reduces the risk of servo jerking. Additional power inputs allow for adequate power delivery even for more complex robotic designs.

This solution allows for simultaneous control of servos and support for additional input elements such as joysticks, buttons, and potentiometers. The MotoPi is compatible with Raspberry Pi A+, B+, 2B, 3B, 3B+, and 4. The module requires activation of the I2C and SPI interfaces in the Raspberry Pi OS. The manufacturer provides a dedicated library based on the Adafruit_PCA9685, specifically adapted for use with the MotoPi board.
The module is a useful accessory for the Joy-IT Robot02 robot arm.
