Product description: N-channel MOSFET driver - for motors, electromagnets, LEDs - STEMMA JST PH 2 mm - Adafruit 5648
An N-channel MOSFET (also called a transistor ) driver from Adafruit , featuring the AO3406 chip. The module can be supplied with a voltage from 3 V to 30 V and controlled by a signal with a logic level from 3 V to 20 V. It also has a built-in 1N4007 protection diode.
Product compatible with Arduino and Raspberry Pi!
The manufacturer has also prepared a wiring diagram and example program codes for Arduino and CircuitPython .
Example connection diagram. The Raspberry Pi board and motor must be purchased separately.
Pin description
- V+ - power pin. It is rated to operate from 3V to 30V. When connecting to control devices, supply the board with a logic level equal to that of the connected microcontroller - e.g. for a 5V microcontroller such as Arduino, use 5V.
- GND - common ground of the system.
- In - signal input pin.
- Out - signal output pin. It can be used to control motors, inductors, high-power LEDs, single-color LED strips or others with a continuous current consumption of up to 1.5 A and a peak current consumption of up to 3 A.
For more information on pinouts, see the manufacturer's user guide . Check!
