Description
Metro 328 is fully compatible with popular moduleArduino Uno. This means that it can be programmed throughthe Arduino IDE environment using available libraries. The so-calledArduino Shields wil be also collaborate with the module from Adafruit. Board has no soldered connectors, you can solder them yourself.
On Board is the Atmega328 microcontroller with the distribution of leads compatible with Arduino Uno. Changes that you may notice when using the module are:
- MicroUSB connector - the large connector USB B has been replaced by smaller, convenient microUSB slot
- The board color was changed from blue to black
- The supply voltage from the DC connector is from 7 to 9 V
- No soldered I/O connectors and DC power socket
To run Metro 328, it is necessary to connect the system to computer usingmicro usb cable. Then, inthe Arduino IDE, choose the Arduino Uno board. |
Power
The module can be powered viamicroUSB cableand an external device, for example, the AC adapter, the battery or the rechargeable battery. Switching power sources is automatic. The power supply is connected to a standard DC slot. Rechargeable battery or other source has to be connected to the pins of the POWER connector.
Programming
Creating and installing software is allowed by the free environment supplied by the manufacturer. Implemented bootloader allows you to send the program directly viathe microUSB cable. ISCP connector enables connection of an externalAVR programmer.
