Fingerbot - a small and excellent addition to enhance your smart home!
On the market of devices designed for home automation we can find, among others, intelligent 230 V power sockets, with the help of which we can remotely control the switching on and off of power supply to various receivers, e.g. electric kettle, desk lamp or electric heating devices. However, such a solution is impractical in the case of devices which can only function if they have power supplied and the switch on button is pressed all the time. Such a solution can be found, for example, in electric coffee mills, especially in constructions dating back to the 1980s. In order for such and similar devices to work continuously, it does not mean that they will have to be modified by replacing a standard button with a bistable switch. For this purpose, the Fingerbot, a miniature robot designed to control buttons and switches according to the commands given, is the perfect solution. Thanks to this solution you can, among others, switch on and off the TV, coffee grinder, and lighting in any part of your home. Fingerbot eliminates all the costs and problems associated with the purchase of additional smart devices, as well as the running of additional electrical installation.
Fingerbot - simple installation and versatility
The Adaprox Fingerbot is a small cube with a protruding pin acting as a human finger, which can be used to press any button or switch. A strip of 3M VHB double-sided adhesive tape is supplied with the robot, which can be used to place the robot on either side of the machine. This allows the Fingerbot to be attached to the wall, the table surface and the housing of the controlled device. For example, the Fingerbot can be glued to the desk in such a way that the control pin is pointing towards the power button, allowing the computer to be switched on at any time, also on the wall at the light switch or on the case of the coffee machine or any other device you wish to automate with the Fingerbot in a small but impressive way.
Fingerbot - interchangeable pins and controllable from your smartphone
The Fingerbot control pins can be easily replaced using dedicated extensions or longer pins included in the Fingerbot Toolpack offered by Botland. The kit includes, among others, a pin for controlling touch screens, as well as pins for controlling slide, cradle and helix switches. Like most of the smart home solutions offered on the market, Fingerbot can be controlled using a mobile application, compatible with Android and Apple iOS. The application allows manual control of the robot in real time, as well as time programming, with the help of which we can set the robot to start the kettle or coffee maker at the time we choose. Fingerbot can also work with Google Assistant, allowing you to control the robot by giving voice commands.
