Product description: A-Star Prime 32U4 LV microSD - Atmega32u4 - Pololu 4008
A-Star Prime LV module is designed by Pololu company. A-Star Prime is compatible with Arduino Leonardo with Atmega32u4 AVR microcontroller. It has 32 kB of flash memory, 2.5 kB of RAM, 26 digital I/Os of which 7 can be used as PWM pins and 12 as analog inputs, as well as popular communication interfaces and a microSD memory card reader. The LV version features a low supply voltage from 2 V to 16 V.
The manufacturer provides a detailed user guide to get started with the A-Star module.
A-Star Prime LV pinouts
The figure shows the pinout of the Pololu A-Star Prime module. The I/O pins are marked yellow and named according to the ATmega32u4 documentation, the A/D converter analog inputs are marked green.
Programming the module
You can program A-Star Prime using free Arduino IDE environment. The implemented bootloader allows you to upload the program using a microUSB cable. Detailed description can be found in manufacturer user guide.
5V stabilizer
Module is equipped with 5V voltage regulator with efficiency - defined as (Power out)/(Power in) - from 80% to 90%. Maximum available output current from 5 V pin is 1,9 A, which is limited by MUX supply.
