Product description: Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W - RP2350 ARM Cortex M33 + CYW43439 - WiFi / Bluetooth
Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W is a compact module with a powerful proprietary microcontroller Raspberry RP2350, designed for electronics enthusiasts and professionals. The new RP2350 , which is part of the RP235x platform, is the heart of the device. It is a dual-core system based on ARM Cortex M33 clocked at 150 MHz, offering greater computing power and programming flexibility. The module has 520 kB of SRAM memory , which allows for faster data processing and the creation of more advanced applications. It is also equipped with 4 MB of QSPI Flash memory , which is twice as much as the Raspberry Pi Pico .
Pico 2 W also offers advanced security features such as Arm TrustZone support, OTP and Secure Boot. With the built-in 2.4 GHz 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 5.2 (CYW43439), the module supports wireless connectivity, which opens up a wide range of possibilities in IoT projects. Raspberry Pi Pico 2 is programmed in C/C++ and MicroPython , using the microUSB connector.
Special features of the module
- High performance: 150MHz dual-core ARM Cortex M33 offers improved performance over the previous model.
- Increased memory: 520 KB SRAM and 4 MB QSPI Flash memory provide more resources for data and code storage.
- Security: Arm TrustZone, OTP, and Secure Boot support enable advanced application security.
- Wireless connectivity: Integrated 2.4 GHz 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 5.2 (CYW43439).
- PSRAM and XIP QSPI v2 support: enables memory expansion and efficient code execution from Flash memory.
Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W module pins
Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W is equipped with 26 universal GPIO pins , including 4 dedicated for ADC, which can work with a voltage of up to 5 V. Thanks to this, the module can be easily integrated with a variety of sensors and peripherals. Among the supported interfaces, we can find 2x SPI, 2x I2C , 2x UART, ADC, PWM and USB 1.1 , making it a versatile solution for electronics projects. Additionally, Pico 2 W includes 3 PIO v2 blocks that allow you to create custom digital interfaces tailored to your specific needs.
Raspberry Pi Pico 2W Power Supply
The Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W is equipped with a microUSB port, which allows both powering the module and communicating with the computer. The device requires a 5 V supply voltage to operate correctly. Alternatively, power can be supplied via the VSYS pin, which supports a voltage ranging from 1, 8 V to 5.5 V. This allows the module to be powered, for example, from a 3.7 V Li-Pol battery or a set of AA batteries .
Raspberry Pi Pico 2 Programming In
Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W can be programmed in C/C++ and MicroPython , which gives great flexibility in creating applications. To upload a program, simply press and hold the BOOTSEL button, then connect the module to the computer using a microUSB cable. The device will be detected as a memory USB mass storage device, to which you need to drag the program file. The manufacturer provides an SDK (Software Development Kit) for both supported languages, available in the useful links section, which makes it much easier to start working with the module.
