Modular electronics systems gained extraordinary popularity, mainly due to the ubiquitous Arduino, and a little later also the Raspberry Pi. This fact, however, should not surprise anyone, considering the incredible facilitation that they introduce in the work of constructors, scientists, and also ... amateurs. The ability to quickly and conveniently assemble compatible "blocks" that perform various functions (e.g. sensors, DC motor controllers, communication modules, converters, and finally base platforms) greatly facilitates the creation of prototypes of electronic devices, testing of software fragments, evaluation of new types of sensors, or also just doing all sorts of experiments. The modular solutions market has long been driven by companies such as DFRobot, Seeedstudio, SparkFun and Pimoroni. In this category, we present the MicroMod series modules available in our offer by the well-known SparkFun brand.

MicroMod – a convenient and compact development platform for various applications
The MicroMod platform is a proposal from SparkFun, addressed to both design engineers and amateurs of electronics and programming. The ecosystem is based on several types of modules: Main Boards, Function Boards and Carrier Boards, as well as Processor Boards. The idea behind the MicroMod system is as follows - in each case, the heart of the built device is a board with a selected processor, inserted into the appropriate slot of the main or support board. The main boards are equipped with two or three sockets (including one reserved for the module with the processor, and the other - for function boards, which can be compared to the Arduino Shield overlays), and the carrier plates - with a single slot for the processor module. Thanks to this, the user can choose whether he wants to use external hardware in his project (using MicroMod modules as an Arduino-like set, but with the option of changing the type of processor) or use ready-made function boards, including, among others, LoRa and WiFi transceivers, environmental sensors, or Ethernet link.
Modules from the MicroMod series in the Botland offer
In our offer you will find several of the most frequently used main modules that work with a wide range of SparkFun accessories, enabling quick and convenient creation of even functionally complex prototypes. We offer modules with the ESP32 "radio" processor (the module has a built-in ceramic antenna), the ARM microcontroller from the SAMD51 series, as well as the latest "child" of The Raspberry Pi Foundation - the dual-core RP2040 processor. You will also find the Artemis module, based on the Ambiq Micro Apollo3 processor (ARM Cortex-M4F @96 MHz with a built-in Bluetooth 5.0 transceiver). Be sure to also check out the other products from the MicroMod series, available in the MicroMod Accessories category.
