Tamiya Incorporated (actually 株式会社 タ ミ ヤ - Kabushiki gaisha Tamiya) is a Japanese manufacturer of model kits, RC vehicles, educational models, sailing models, etc., as well as various accessories for robotics and modeling.Tamiya was founded by Yoshio Tamiya in Shizuoka, Japan in 1946. The company gained popularity by producing plastic reduction models that were meant to be easy to understand and build, even for beginners.
