Description of product: SparkFun Qwiic SHIM Kit - set with display for Raspberry Pi - SparkFun KIT-16987
Starter kit from SparkFun prepared to extend the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi with Qwiic connectors. It consists of a shield for GPIO pins with a Qwiic connector, display , IMU module and dedicated cables. The kit does not require soldering , so it allows for simple prototyping and allows you to quickly add new peripherals.
What is Qwiic? Features of the Qwiic ecosystem
The Qwiic ecosystem includes a wide range of sensors, electronic components and peripherals that use the I2C bus to communicate with each other. They have a 4-pin connector and are connected via dedicated cables . The idea behind this solution is to facilitate and accelerate the prototyping process. All elements supporting the Qwiic standard use a common, 4-pin JST connector with a pitch of 1 mm, which, among other things, reduces the amount of space required on the PCB and does not require additional soldering of the connectors. It also protects against connection inconsistent with the polarity. The SHIM module is also equipped with a 3.3 V regulator, which allows you to connect any board with a Qwiic connector.
