An assembled, ready to run version of the3pi+ Hyper Editionrobot. The robot is equipped with amotherboard basedonATmega32U4chip with numerous sensors and modules. This is the fastest version of the 3pi+ robot equipped with twoDC motors with 15:1 gearingalong withencoders, the maximum moving speed is about 4 m/s. The platform has9DoF, reflection, collisionsensors(located on the bumper),LCD display, buzzer and power switch. It uses 2 wheels with silicone tyres and a support ball to move.
The robot is intended for more advanced users due to the difficulty of programming and easy to damage elements. The manufacturer recommends keeping the speed of the motors below 50% in this version. The set includes a spare motor gear -manual.

The Pololu 3pi+ robot is equipped with a main board based on32U4chip, its diameter is only9.7 cm. It is equipped with aUSB interfacefor programming the board and anArduino compatible bootloader,for programming use aUSB - microUSB cable(not included). The robot can be programmed inArduino IDEenvironment, there are also available libraries and sample codes for Arduino, which will help to start working with the platform. For more advanced users, there are additional ports to which you can connect additional accessories. The board also includesan H-bridgefor motor control and sensors, along with encoders. You can find such sensors as: 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer, 5 IR reflective sensors to detect surface edges, as well as right and left collision sensors. Three buttons for any user use, LCD display, buzzer, and status LEDs.
What do I need to get started with the robot?
- Four AAA batteries - 3Pi+ works with alkaline batteries and Ni-MH batteries, the manufacturer recommends the use ofNi-MH batteries.
