Module from Waveshare enabling long-range CAN Bus communication for Raspberry Pi Pico . It is equipped with a CAN MCP2515 driver with an SPI interface and a SIT65HVD230DR transceiver. The shield has soldered dedicated connectors for connecting Pi Pico. The manufacturer has prepared a user's guide that will greatly facilitate the work with the module.
The Raspberry Pi Pico board is not included and must be purchased separately.
CAN Bus shield for Raspberry Pi Pico - Waveshare 23775.
What is the CAN bus?
The CAN bus is like a nervous system that enables continuous communication . It allows each ECU to communicate with all other control units without complicated, special wiring. Via CAN, they can prepare and distribute information such as sensor data. The most common use of the bus is to create electronic networks in vehicles. However, in recent decades, other industries have also started to implement this solution. CAN began to be used in trams, trains, planes, as well as in medical and laboratory devices.
