The VL53L1X distance sensor measures up to 4 m at a speed of up to 50 Hz . The system uses Time-of-Flight technology and uses the I2C interface for communication. The VL53L1X is a ToF sensor based on ST's third generation FlightSense technology. Compared to the second generation VL53L0x, the VL53L1X sensor has a larger detection range and a frequency of 50 Hz. Unlike conventional distance sensors, VL53L1X integrates physical infrared filters and optics, adopts ST's latest generation of ToF, which enables absolute distance measurement regardless of target color and reflectivity, achieving better anti-interference ability.

  • SDA - data line of the I2C interface
  • SCL - clock line of the I2C interface
  • SHUT - shutdown control, connects to the IO pin
  • INT - interrupt output, connects to the IO pin
