Product description: Pro Micro - USB-C - 5V/16MHz - ATmega32U4 - SparkFun DEV-15795
Refreshed version ofSparkFunQwiicPro Microboard, which is a small module based on well-knownAVR Atmega32U4microcontroller (the same microcontroller used in popular Arduino Leonardo). The board has the same size as its predecessor(33 mm x 18 mm). What makes it different? For this model, the manufacturer used a USB-C connector and aQwiicconnector. In addition, some additional features have been added. The new version of the module is equipped with a reset button and a voltage regulator (AP2112 3.3 V). On the board you will find 20 digital I/Os of which 5 can be used as PWM outputs and 12 as analog inputs. Pro Micro operates at 5 V, clocked at 16 MHz.
The module can be powered via a USB cable and an external device such as an AC adapter, battery or rechargeable battery. If the supply voltage is higher than 5 V it should be connected to RAW pin, which is connected to the stabilizer. VCC is connected directly to pins of the microcontroller.
Creation and uploading of software is possible thanks tofree environmentprovided by the manufacturer. Implemented bootloader allows to upload the program directly viaUSB cable. Detailed description can be found in manual provided by SparkFun.
