Electronic applications for the automotive industry and beyond!

Melexis Technologies NV's main specialty is automotive electronics. Every year, the R&D department of the company works intensively on new solutions in the field of intelligent integrated circuits and sensor devices. One of the priority goals for Melexis Technologies NV, is to make cars and trucks and their accessories and equipment as safe, reliable and efficient to use. In addition, the Belgian electronics giant also creates practical solutions for intelligent installations and appliances, home automation, and industrial and medical applications. For the people behind Melexis Technologies NV, it is all about technology, and above all, its practical application as a tool to make life easier, whether it is a communication system between vehicles or a temperature sensor for the human body.

Pioneering solutions inspired by customer needs

Melexis Technologies NV is known for technical solutions that are developed according to market needs. One of the company's pioneering solutions is the introduction of Hall sensors detecting three-dimensional magnetic fields, which have become a standard used in the design and manufacture of sensor devices and modules. Despite appearances, technological innovations are not created in a closed environment, isolated from the outside world, but based on discussions with customers to gain knowledge of their needs and requirements from the product that is to be placed in their hands, and this is one of the cornerstones of ensuring success both on the part of the manufacturer and its customer - this is also the case of Melexis Technologies NV, which is committed to the sustainable development of its staff, in order to improve relations with customers, co-workers.

Digital thermometers with medical grade accuracy

Among the products from Melexis Technologies NV, the Botland Store offers infrared digital thermometers that enable contactless temperature measurements. The TO-39-type housing houses an infrared sensor, ASIC signal conditioner, low-noise operational amplifier, 17-bit resolution analog-to-digital converter and a powerful signal processor. The thermometer's design is factory calibrated and provides high accuracy measurement, which is increased from 20°C to 40°C for medical measurements. Communication of the thermometer with the measuring system is performed through I2C interface with measurement accuracy of 0,02°C or through PWM channel with 10-bit resolution with measurement accuracy of 0,14°C. The thermometer is compatible with Arduino and other popular platforms for embedded systems supporting communication via I2C or PWM signal.
