Product description: Gravity - SO2 sulfur dioxide sensor - I2C / UART - factory calibrated - DFRobot SEN0470
A sensor that detects the concentration of sulfur dioxide SO2. Manufactured by DFRobot, it has a factory calibrated probe that allows you to make precise measurements in a short time. The measurement range is from 0 ppm to 20 ppm. The module supports three interfaces: analog, I2C and UART. It has as many as 32 I2C addresses to choose from. The module has strong anti-interference properties, very good sensitivity and high measurement stability.
Contents of the kit
- SO2 sulfur dioxide sensor - adapter board
- SO2 sensor probe
- Gravity 4-pin connection cable
Product compatible with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi
The manufacturer has prepared a detailed user guide, which includes, among other things, wiring instructions and sample program code.
A series of pre-calibrated sensors from DFRobot
The manufacturer DFRobot has developed a series of sensors that have been factory calibrated. What's more, these modules work in the same way and have the same data format, so they can work in parallel. The series consists of up to 12 modules that can detect gases such as CO, O2, NH3, H2S, NO2, HCL, H2, PH3, SO2, O3, CL2, HF.
Sulfur dioxide in the air
Sulfur dioxide is a side effect of burning waste in stoves, is an important part of smog, and is also a very common preservative found in the composition of many food products - it protects against the growth of bacteria, yeast or mold. Too high a concentration of sulfur dioxide is dangerous especially for asthmatic patients, it causes severe allergic reactions, may lower blood pressure and induce bronchitis.
Sulfur dioxide - application of the sensor
- Industrial detection of sulfur dioxide
- Underground detection of hazardous gases and vapors
- Environmental protection in its broadest sense
- Intelligent agriculture
