Product description: Gravity - NH3 ammonia sensor - I2C / UART - factory calibrated - DFRobot SEN0469
A sensor that detects the concentration of NH3 ammonia in the surrounding environment. Manufactured by DFRobot, it is equipped with a factory calibrated probe that enables precise measurements in a short time. Ammonia measurement ranges from 0 ppm to 100 ppm. The module supports three interfaces: analog, I2C and UART and has as many as 32 I2C addresses to choose from. It exhibits strong anti-interference properties, has very good sensitivity and high measurement stability.
Contents of the kit
- NH3 ammonia sensor - adapter board
- NH3 sensor probe
- Connecting cable Gravity 4-pin
Product compatible with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi
The manufacturer has prepared a detailed user guide, which includes, among other things, connection instructions and sample program code.
A series of pre-calibrated sensors from DFRobot
DFRobot has developed a series of pre-calibrated sensors that work in the same way and have the same data format, so they can work in parallel. The use of several sensors at the same time will allow to create many advanced devices, including those with industrial applications. The series consists of up to 12 modules that can detect gases such as CO, O2, NH3, H2S, NO2, HCL, H2, PH3, SO2, O3, CL2, HF.
Is ammonia harmful?
Ammonia is a colorless gas, slightly lighter than air. It is not an explosive gas in the open, but can be explosive in confined spaces. Occasionally, ammonia leaks from refrigeration systems occur (with disastrous consequences), adversely affecting the environment and living organisms. Ammonia poisoning is manifested by muscle weakness, convulsions, excessive mobility, and hearing impairment.
Application of the sensor
- Industrial leak detection in refrigeration plants
- Underground detection of faulty pipes and valves with ammonia
- Environmental protection in a broad sense
- Intelligent agriculture
